An Exciting New Way to Enjoy Your iPod

How much time did you spend traveling on your last business trip or vacation? If it was a relatively “short” flight of about 2 hours, you probably spent at least 4 hours total. An hour and a half at the airport checking in and waiting to take off, then the actual flight, and afterwards, another half hour waiting for your luggage to come around.
People that are used to traveling learn how to enjoy flying, including the time it takes and the delays it can involve when things don’t go so smoothly. On a recent flight I took, the passenger next to me was wearing what looked like high-tech, space age sunglasses. They were connected to his iPod, and he was completely tuned out to everything.
When he took them off when we were starting to descend, I couldn’t help asking what they were. He explained they were widescreen video glasses, and when hooked up to his iPod, they produced the same effect as watching a 52-inch television screen. He must have seen the look of disbelief on my face, because next thing I knew, he was adjusting them to fit my head.
It’s difficult to describe the experience, it was so amazing. I got a glimpse of the movie Planet Terror and the experience was like being shut inside my own personal movie theater. They were comfortable, lightweight, and had earplugs attached that when plugged in, completely eliminated noise distractions. In an instant, I was experiencing big screen video right before my eyes.
I had a slew of questions after I took them off. Time was short, but I did gather these were Vuzix iWear AV310 Widescreen Video Glasses, they cost around $200, and they work with video game systems, laptops, DVDs and all sorts of other portable devices. Any time you want big screen video entertainment, you pull out your Hi Res Video Eyewear and you’re ready to go.
I’d never heard of widescreen video glasses, but I was very impressed. Will I be ordering a set of these glasses? I sure am, and I’m also looking at sites where I can download movies for my iPod.
