Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
MySims Kingdom sets you on a story-telling journey of discovery and exploration to help King Roland and his subjects revitalize the Kingdom.

Amazon.co.uk Review
The Sims returns to the Wii in MySims - Kingdom. Take control of not just your own town but a whole kingdom. King Roland runs a pretty strange realm though, with his medieval castle neighbouring the cowboy-filled Frontier Land, the aptly named Adventure Land, and the Sci-Fi style Tomorrow Land.
King Roland’s kingdom has some very unusual subjects
Some of the kingdom’s lands are more high tech than others
Frontier Land is filled with cowboys and cowgirls
Pig wrestling is more fun than it sounds

As you visit each of the different worlds you’re able to help out the people you meet with your special construction abilities. Using a magical sceptre you can build and modify buildings however you want, using the Wii remote to pick up parts and change them however you want. You can do the same with furniture and other objects--even your own character!

This comes in very handy for everything from rebuilding rocket ships to helping placate angry dragons. Once people get to know you, you can stop by to socialise as you make your own home in the land of your choice.

Key Features
  • Land of opportunity: Visit each of the very different realms and help out King Roland’s subjects in an exciting story of construction and co-operation.
  • Join the crowd: Chat with all the game’s peculiar inhabitants, making friends or upsetting people on purpose.
  • Edit everything: Design and build your own home with just a few gestures from the Wii remote and help fix up other buildings throughout the kingdom.
  • Scavenger hunt: Constructing and changing buildings and furniture requires different essences that you find in each land by chopping down trees or digging up gardens.
  • Looking good: The game’s graphics have been completely revamped with interactive loading screens and smooth animation.

I thought this was a very dull game, I was bored very quickly, don't buy it, i kept plaing it in hope that it would eventually get better but it didn't. Only buy this gaame it you like slow moving games with not much action behind them.

Sims Kingdom (wii)
After my son aged 9 wanted this game i shopped around but not once did i get informed about the stupid gibberish supposed language that was on the game. we checked the console settings and game settings thinking we had set one up incorrect, but all correct. It took some time and the Internet to find this information. In all we are not impressed and more important neither is my son.Had this information been available i doubt very much that we would have purchased the game. BE AWARE!

5 out of 5 stars An awesome sequel!   November 14, 2008

I loved the first MySims for Wii, it was so innocent and hours of fun. I particularly liked its versatility in furniture designs and the loveable characters that link with the DS version, and this new MySims does not disappoint! We have more adorable characters, with some characters coming along from the original like Chef Gino and Buddy. This game focuses much less on building furniture and more on a variety of challeneges. The gameplay is less linear than the first one and with less repetition. In this game, once you've learnt to build say, a sofa, you can build as many as you like instantly, without needed to put all the blocks together again. There are some lovely touchs like being able to mill flour in the machine you just fixed or ride he mechanical bull you powered with gears etc. And all of it gives you essences. Challenges vary from fixing machines with cogs and belts, to building things, to painting and furnishing. There are several different lands, collecting essences is more fun and easier, the idea of mana adds to the challenge and the animations are more fun than ever. Even the loading screens are worth watching!

Overall, a really nice improvement on the original and definitely worth a go if you liked the first one. Or even if you never played it but you like the concept.
